The Best Rock & Metal Songs

Limp Bizkit's "Snacky Poo" Rock + Metal

Limp Bizkit is one of the most famous bands to come out of the 1990s, and Snacky Poo is their second-most popular song. Limp Bizkit was formed in 1994 by Wes Borland (guitar), John Otto (drums), and Sam Rivers (bass). Their major-label debut album, Three Dollar Bill Y'all$, was released in 1997 and went platinum. Snacky Poo tells a story about someone who wants to eat everything they can get their hands on; it's about greed.

The band has been criticized for its misogynistic lyrics such as "I'm gonna love you like an animal," but Snacky Poo seems harmless when compared to other songs that are much more explicit or offensive. Snacky Poo has appeared in many movies and TV shows, including the movie Road Trip (2000) where it's played during a dance scene. You can listen to Snacky Poo here or watch its music video below:

Ghost Bath: "A Crystal Lattice"

Rock + Metal"A Crystal Lattice," the latest album by Ghost Bath, is a brilliant work of art. The album's three songs are each an exercise in patience and control, with A Crystal Lattice being the pinnacle of that effort. A slow burn from start to finish, A Crystal Lattice never forgets its atmospheric roots despite its minimalistic nature. A perfect example of how less can be more when done right.

A Crystal Lattice was recorded in 2015 at Flatline Audio, engineered by Dave Otero (Cattle Decapitation), and mastered by Jack Shirley of Atomic Garden Mastering. The cover art features a photo taken by Aesop Dekker's mother-in-law. A special thanks to Aesop Dekker of Agalloch for his input on this release.

A Crystal Lattice was mixed and mastered by Aesop Dekker (Worm Ouroboros, Ludicra) at Grayskull Studios in Oakland, California. The album features artwork from talented artists David Maxim Micic (Dragony) and Aesop Dekker (Worm Ouroboros, Ludicra).

A Crystal Lattice is the second album by Ghost Bath. The first album Dusk was released in 2014 on Northern Silence Productions to critical acclaim, cementing Ghost Bath as one of the most promising new acts in metal. A physical release of A Crystal Lattice is on its way. A vinyl release will be available soon.
